About us

15 years of how systems work.
9 years of how a lesson works.

WinClass was built by someone who opened learning centres himself, trained teachers himself, and knows first-hand why you do not feel like preparing a lesson on a Sunday evening. The whole story and every figure are below. Check them.

Timur Araspayev, founder of WinClass

Timur Araspayev

Founder of WinClass. Ten years in banking IT, four in risk management, eight in children\u{2019}s education: a network of schools in 15 cities, an online school for fifteen hundred teachers, and two platforms people pay for.

How we got here

Twenty years across two professions

A product turns out the way the experience behind it does. So here it is, year by year, with facts you can verify.

Systems that are not allowed to fall over

2001–2011

Ten years at Bank CenterCredit in IT support. There, an outage at nine in the morning means a queue in the branch and lost money.

That is why the platform has to open at 17:00 on a Monday, when a class has a lesson. Not "usually works".

Where a process actually breaks

2011–2014

Risk management director at Caepco and at National Information Technologies. Built risk management from scratch and reviewed IT projects.

Hence the platform holds more than exercises: the whole loop of pupils, classes, teachers, results and reports. A lesson is also a process.

Explaining so that people go and do it

2014–2016

Implementing corporate governance in large Kazakhstani companies. Training sessions for 200 people in a hall.

That is why we do not send a teacher off to read a manual: we train them and run the first lesson together.

Our own centres in 15 cities

2016–2018

With partners, opened a network of mental arithmetic schools: 2,000 pupils in Almaty, Astana and Shymkent and 4,000 more across the regions. An in-person olympiad for 500 participants.

I recruited, retained and lost pupils myself. Everything in the platform about retention was written from that pain, not invented on a call.

Fifteen hundred teachers

2018–2019

An international online school for teachers: ten original methodologies, 1,500 trained teachers and centre managers across the CIS.

We know what teachers are missing because fifteen hundred of them asked us in person.

The first platform — still paid for today

2019–2024

An IT platform for mental arithmetic teachers: 2,000 paying users in the first two years. An international online olympiad with more than 1,000 participants from 15 countries.

WinClass for schools is not our first product, and not an experiment run on you.

A working product, not a promise

Our platform for learning centres is in its fifth year

winclass.ru is our product for enrichment centres and tutors. More than a thousand teachers run sessions on it every day: exercises, live online lessons, olympiads, pupil records and payments.

The school platform grew out of it: the same task engine, the same gamification, the same team. The difference is that a school gets programmes on international standards, parent accounts and its own brand — none of which a centre needs.

200+ exercise sets

Across twenty-plus disciplines: arithmetic, reading, memory, logic, chess, English.

1,000+ teachers

Registered and working. They pay by subscription, not by a lump-sum franchise fee.

International olympiads

With personalised certificates — a mechanic moving over into the school platform.

How onboarding works

We take a school to a working lesson by hand

This is not self-service on a subscription. We take on few schools and bring each one to the point where the teacher runs a lesson without us.

Demo

We show the programme with your class. Free and with no obligation.

Contract

Terms, limits of responsibility and price are fixed in writing.

Setup

We create the school under your brand and transfer class and parent lists.

First lesson

We train the teacher and run the first lesson together, not by emailed instructions.

Let us meet

Tell us about your school

How many children are in the primary years, what systems you already run and what is missing. We will shape the conversation around that instead of showing a generic deck.
